10 minute free discovery call

A 10-minute discovery call is a brief, no-obligation conversation designed to help determine whether my services are the right fit for your needs. This call provides an opportunity to share what has prompted you to reach out, ask any initial questions, and gain a sense of how I work. While it is not a counselling or supervision session, it allows us to clarify goals, discuss suitable support options, and explore next steps in a supportive and pressure-free way.

Counselling

Counselling is a confidential, supportive process where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe and non-judgemental space. It helps people gain insight, develop practical coping strategies, and make meaningful changes that support emotional wellbeing and healthier relationships.

Reaching out for counselling is important because challenges are often easier to navigate with support rather than in isolation. Seeking help is a proactive step toward understanding yourself, strengthening resilience, and addressing concerns before they become overwhelming.

Supervision

Clinical supervision is a structured and supportive process that helps counsellors and helping professionals reflect on their practice, develop skills, and maintain ethical and professional standards. It provides guidance, feedback, and a safe space to discuss challenging cases, professional boundaries, and personal reactions to client work.

Byron Hunt offers supervision for student counsellors, early-career practitioners, and experienced clinicians, drawing on his extensive experience in school, community, and NGO settings. Supervision with Byron focuses on reflective practice, professional growth, ethical decision-making, and building confidence in therapeutic work.

Schools and Education

Byron Hunt draws on extensive experience in school counselling and child protection to deliver engaging PD sessions on topics such as student wellbeing, mental health, trauma-informed practice, and managing challenging behaviours. Supervision is also available for school counsellors and wellbeing staff, providing reflective support, guidance on complex cases, and strategies to maintain professional and ethical standards.
